FLENDER torsionally rigid couplings

ZAPEX gear couplings are especially suited to harsh operating conditions, e.g. the iron and steel industry or the cement industry. ZAPEX couplings are further characterized by their high performance capability and their compact design.

ARPEX all-steel couplings are free of torsional backlash. They are ideal for high environmental temperatures and especially for machines which have to be driven with utmost precision – e.g. paper and printing machines.

FLENDER flexible couplings

Flexible FLENDER couplings are suitable for plug-in assembly and are easy to mount. The flexible elements compensate shaft misalignments and absorb moderate shock loads of motor or driven machine.
Standard couplings of a wide modular design range and application-related couplings in special design cover a multitude of applications.

FLENDER highly flexible couplings

Due to their low torsional rigidity and good damping properties, highly flexible FLENDER couplings are excellently suitable for connecting non-uniformly working machines. They are preferably used in periodically exciting systems, such as drives with internal combustion engines or piston compressors. Because of the large elastomer volume, comparably large shaft misalignments can be compensated.

Highly flexible couplings

FLENDER hydrodynamic couplings

FLUDEX couplings are hydrodynamic fluid couplings operating according to the Föttinger principle. The coupling parts on the input and output side are not mechanically connected and thus not subject to wear. Torque is transmitted by the fluid movement in the coupling accelerated by the radial blades.

Advantages

  • Soft and shock less starting of machines and conveyors
  • Acceleration of very large masses without the necessity to use over dimensioned motors
  • Protection of drive against peak loads in case of frequent starting and reversing operations
  • Excellent vibration separation and shock damping; greatest possible extent of torsional vibration uncoupling in drives subject to vibration
